Making Life Long Memories In Michigan State

When my family relocated to Michigan in late 2007, I was unsure of the move. My son was only 5, and all I wanted was a place in which he could have as enriching a life as I. Could Michigan live up to my high expectations? Absolutely! From the fabulous culture and rich history of the Detroit area to the beauty and wonder of the upper peninsula, the state of Michigan has everything one could possibly hope for, and then some. Imagine living in a place where in the summer, a trip down the river or a day at the beach is possible at any time you are so inclined. In the winter, miles and miles of trails beckon you for snowshoeing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, or whatever your sport of choice; all practically in your own backyard. The summer is green as far as the eye can see, with a river or a lake on every turn. The fall is filled with such beautiful, amazing colors that my eyes can hardly take it all in. The winters, right out of a painting, are so perfect that many times I sit by the fireplace drinking hot chocolate, and stare out the window for hours.

There are so many museums and cultural experiences to be had, I can hardly name them all. Some of our favorites are the Ford Museum, which focuses on all the great inventions of the late Henry Ford, or possibly the Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point in the upper peninsula. Whatever your tastes are, there is something for you in the state of Michigan. I know now that we certainly made the right choice in location for our family. We have made memories to last a lifetime, and look forward to those which we have yet to experience. You thought this was good? Brace yourself: Heave
